The First Cohort of our Intro to Formwork Program Graduates

The First Cohort of our Intro to Formwork Program Graduates

On Nov. 5, the BCRCC, in conjunction with SkillPlan, held a graduation at the Delta Training Center for students completing the eight-week Introduction to Carpentry and Formwork Program. This is the first of three cohorts that will be participating in the program, which provides students with four weeks of essential-skills training followed by four weeks of carpentry training. The program prepares students for a successful start as apprentice carpenters, and these participants have now been paired with BCRCC contractors in the Metro Vancouver area.

The program was made possible through funding from the ITA and tools and equipment donated generously by the Carpentry Employers Association of BC. We welcome these graduates to the BCRCC and look forward to following and supporting them as they progress through their careers. The second cohort is scheduled to begin the program in January 2022.

The Carpenters' Regional Council (CRC) of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America is currently building the CRC's new website, which will include all the same functions and information for our members and other users. In the meantime, please continue to use We appreciate your patience and understanding.
