2019 Provincial Carpentry Apprenticeship Contest

2019 Provincial Carpentry Apprenticeship Contest

The BC/Yukon Regional Council held its annual Provincial Carpentry Apprenticeship Contest in Victoria on June 22. All six contestants performed admirably. Thank you all for participating! This year’s contestants showed a lot of talent.

Representing both the province of British Columbia and Yukon territory at the National Carpentry Apprenticeship in Ottawa will be this year’s winner, Whitehorse’s Local 2499 member Levon Lacoste. Excellent work Levon!

Congratulations to Victoria’s Local 1598 members Andrew Poucher, who placed second, and Brad Shuparsky, who placed third.

It was a great day. Thank you to all the judges and volunteers. Thank you also to Farmer Construction for hosting the event.
